The history of our Cheam branch

WA Truelove & Son Ltd Cheam was opened in the 1930s by Harry Truelove. Initially located in the former Ebbutt’s premises, the branch later moved when Harry purchased the adjoining properties on the High Street and Park Road. In the 1950s, these properties were demolished to make way for a new, purpose-built funeral home and block of staff flats, which opened in October 1957.

Today, the Cheam Branch is run by Janice Harley who is a qualified funeral arranger, having gained her Certificate in Funeral Arranging and Administration from the London Association of Funeral Directors.
