WA Truelove & Son Ltd was delighted to officially open their newest branch on Friday 30th October 2015.
Truelove’s newest branch on Malden Road in Worcester Park is the first branch that WA Truelove & Son Ltd has opened in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. The mayor of the borough, Councillor Roy Arora, attended the official opening on Friday 30th October and was pleased to cut the ribbon and to declare the new branch officially open.
Also in attendance to mark the occasion were the Mayor’s wife, Mrs. Manisha Arora, Mr. William Millar, the President of the National Association of Funeral Directors, Mr. James Gallagher, the Vice-President of the London Association of Funeral Directors and Mrs. Claire Austin, the incoming Chair of the European Group of Selected Independent Funeral Homes (the international organisation for the promotion of excellence in funeral directing), as well as a number of local clergy and business people. We were delighted to welcome all of them to our new branch.
The new branch can be found next door to Tesco at 350-352 Malden Road, Worcester Park, KT4 7NW. It is a triple fronted shop which has been converted into a very comfortable funeral home and has been refurbished throughout to create a modern and comforting space, with full facilities including air conditioning, two chapels of rest and client parking at the rear of the property.
The new branch opened on 22nd June 2015 and is being managed by Sarah Love, who joined WA Truelove & Son Ltd in April 2014. Sarah was a teaching assistant at a primary school in Raynes Park for many years. Following the death of her father she decided that she wanted to work in the funeral profession to provide help and comfort to people who had suffered loss and recently fulfilled that ambition, having waited until her children had grown up and become more independent. Sarah was awarded her Certificate in Funeral Arranging and Administration (Cert.FAA) in April 2015, meaning she is now a qualified funeral arranger. She previously served as a Relief Manager with the company before being promoted this year to run her own branch.
The current Managing Director of WA Truelove & Son Ltd, Simon Truelove, and his brother, Financial Director David Truelove, represent the fourth generation of the Truelove family and are delighted to have this opportunity to expand their business to encompass this, their sixteenth branch. They are committed to serving the Worcester Park community as an independent caring company for years to come.
WA Truelove & Son Ltd have 15 other branches in the local area currently, which are Banstead, Caterham, Cheam, Coulsdon, Dorking, Epsom, Leatherhead, Mitcham, Morden, Oxted, Reigate, Wallington and the three in Sutton (our Head Office, and the branches in Mulgrave Road and the High Street).
