Sarah Love, the branch manager at our newest branch, the Worcester Park branch, recently held a competition amongst children from the local Joseph Hood Primary School to decorate poppies for the branch’s Remembrance Sunday window display.
Following the competition, Sarah visited the school to present the children with certificates for taking part. WA Truelove & Son Ltd was pleased to donate art supplies as prizes for the winners.
The new Worcester Park branch opened on 22nd June 2015 and was officially opened on Friday 30th October. It can be found next door to Tesco at 350-352 Malden Road, Worcester Park, KT4 7NW. It is a triple fronted shop which has been converted into a very comfortable funeral home and has been refurbished throughout to create a modern and comforting space, with full facilities including air conditioning, two chapels of rest and client parking at the rear of the property.
Sarah has managed the branch since it opened earlier in the year, and served as a Relief Manager prior to that. She has been with the company since April 2014 and is a qualified funeral arranger, having been awarded her Certificate in Funeral Arranging and Administration (Cert.FAA) in April 2015.
Before working for WA Truelove & Son Ltd, Sarah was a teaching assistant at a primary school in Raynes Park for many years. She decided to change career following the death of her father, when she realised that she wanted to work in the funeral profession to help people who had suffered bereavement. With her children now more grown up and independent, she felt last year that the time was right to fulfil her ambition.
Other Truelove’s branches also commemorated Remembrance Day with striking window displays, and received positive feedback from the public about these displays and the effort that our staff put in to marking this important commemorative occasion. Truelove’s believe that it is always important to mark this day and to remember the war fallen with utmost respect.
